Blueberry scones and chocolate chip scones

Whip up Alana's one-bowl scones, the ultimate crowd-pleaser that's as easy as mix, fold, bake and devour! Whether you lean sweet with blueberries or chocolate chips with a dash of cinnamon or savoury with sharp cheddar and fresh chives, these scones deliver buttery, flaky goodness every time. Perfect for breakfast, brunch or a sneaky snack—no fancy equipment needed...just your hands and a love for deliciousness.

Ingredients:

  • 2 cups flour
  • 3 tbsp sugar
  • 4 tsp baking soda
  • 1/2 tsp salt
  • 6 tbsp cold or frozen butter
  • 1 egg
  • 2/3 cup milk

How-to: 

  1. Grate butter.
  2. Mix all ingredients with hands. 
  3. Fold dough over many times on a counter.
  4. Cut into shape [I do rough triangles]. 
  5. Brush with milk and egg.
  6. Bake at 400 for 12 to 15 minutes.

For sweetness, add blueberries or chocolate chips and cinnamon.

For a savoury twist, add grated cheddar cheese and chives.
